The village itself is very small and quaint, surrounded by a thick forest, numerous vineyards and hills that spread out towards the horizon as far as the eye can see. One can spot the red rooftops scattered all around amidst the trees. It is the perfect rural setting preserved with its traditions and quiet pace. It is perfectly normal for the locals to engage in small farming initiatives, agriculture, poultry farming, cattle herding and craft making. There is plenty of opportunity for hunting tourism and fishing since there are a number of lakes in the region as well as thick natural forests. The sea and the beach are only within a 10 minute drive from the village. There are two beaches nearby - one is in Veteran area and the other is in Kamchia resort, where already large investments have been made. The coastline in both locations is wide with fine, white sand and the water is crystal clean and very warm in the summer months.
